Trainers/Youth workers may be less familiar than their trainees in digital literacy, although they had a key role in helping Youth to be active in setting up co-production and gamification for supporting young people tackling fake news, through building new digital content. For this reason, trainers need to be trained about new digital media, and any related risks and traps on digital communication, especially hate speech, cyberbullying, manipulation and fake news, taking into account that also trainers can be victims of fake news and mis-information.
The first part of the training will address:The second part of the training will be focused on presentation, explanation and exploitation of F.A.K.E. digital tools.
The training programme will be divided in 4 units:
Unit 1 – Why fake news are so fascinating?
Unit 2 – Cognitive biases and emotional aspects behind “infodemic success”
Unit 3 – Discrimination on social media and digital platform
Unit 4 – Knowledge, conscious and safe use of social network
It also includes the use of open-source software or free to use software like Inkscape

At the end of the training the participants will:
- become familiar with digital tools, playgrounds, games, visual novels, digital contests, coding, and so on, to be developed by the project;
- be trained about purpose, added value, and potentialities of the above mentioned digital tools;
- be trained about applications, structures, methodologies, and development of the above mentioned digital tools.
- be able to identify and unmask fake news;
- understand actions on social media that reinforce (intentional or unintentional) discrimination;
- be able to identify and recognize the dangers of hacking, scams, or malware on social networks.
- acquire greater awareness of some aspects of one's own emotional experience and one's cognitive maps to avoid manipulation
- be able to find information online, evaluate its credibility, create your own content, and share it in the best possible way, hence to build own project, starting from the proposed inputs and objectives while learning a coding language
