Training course foreseen for Trainees/Youth having 14-25 years old , because, as Millenials, they are digital natives, so more familiar with social media and online platforms communication, even though it doesn't mean that they are conscious and informed about risks and traps behind some kind of information, related also to hate speech, cyberbullying, manipulation, fake news, and misinformation.

The first part of the training will address:

 A general overview on social media information and disinformation:

- How to define, detect and decostruct fake news, misinformation and manipulation of data, information and background;

 Cognitive bias, digital and functional illiteracy, as key aspects behind trust on fake news;

- Fairs, sentiments and emotional aspects behind behind trust on fake news

- Social media, misperception bubbles, polarisation and echo chambers: risks and prejudices;

- Digital education, debunking and fact-checking, as antidote against misinformation

- Big data and indexing of web search engine

The second part of the training will be focused on presentation, explanation and exploitation of F.A.K.E. digital tools.
 
The training program will also include the use of open-source software or free to use software like Inkscape.The tools will be designed for a self-learning approach with varying levels of complexity ranging from Newcomer (A1) to Pioneer (C2). The training will lead participants to the participative co-design digital tools activity aimed at deconstruct fake news and misinformation on social media. After this training trainees will each pilot the digital tools (IO2) and will spread the hackathon in VET centers thorough peer-to-peer activities, responding also to the hackathon challenges (IO3), in touch with own local Advisory Groups (IO1). This will ensure the trainees have a full experience of utilizing the digital tools and digital training competences acquired from this training

The participants will:

·         become familiar with digital tools, playgrounds, games, visual novels, digital contests, coding, and so on, to be developed by the project;

·         be able to learn Javascript fundamentals, which is one of the most required coding languages in the market, taking into account that the logic behind the Playground is based on  visual coding and javascript programming language:

- participants will be able to intuitively build their own project, starting from the proposed inputs and objectives while learning a coding language;

·         be trained about purpose, added value, and potentialities of the above mentioned digital tools;

·         be trained about applications, structures, methodologies, and development of the above mentioned digital tools.
