Best practices and use of new and innovative pedagogical methods and technologies to support the professional development of staff in VET


For CIOFS-FP professionals, in Marseille area, Eurocircle organised a peer-to-peer training pathway that involved VET and education centres specialized in different topics such as youth and sports, high education for drop out and professional transitions.

Goals:


  • Sharing best practices and promoting the use of new and innovative pedagogical methods and technologies, and supporting the professional development of teachers, trainers, mentors and other staff in VET.
  • Building the capacity of VET providers to carry out high quality mobility projects, and increasing their ability to form quality partnerships while developing their internationalisation strategy
  • Supporting the development of professional networks across Europe.

The beneficiaries were welcomed by Eurocircle on the evening of the arrival day. The meeting was devoted to introduce Eurocircle and the training agenda and to introduce the participants to each other’s with the aim to create a smooth mood within the group and with the Eurocircle representative in charge with the group.


The participants were hosted in one of the apartment that Eurocircle rents on a yearly base to host young people in volunteering or internship.

The training agenda was made up of the visit of different structures that could give an insight into VET and guidance in Provence Alpes Cotes d’Azur.

The different structures had all their specificity and field of expertise:

CREPS - under the direction of the Sports and Youth ministry, a VET center that delivers trainings in a variety of different sports and youth animation.

Mission Locale - association under the directive of the Ministry of work, employment and insertion introduced the wide variety guidance offer to 16-25 years old.

Ecole de la Deuxième Chance - a VET center under the Ministry of education, specialised in VET for NEET and dropout with a competences approach.

Sud Formation - a social VET center for adult, new comers already settled (with official permit of stay), single parent, etc, the directive of the Ministry of work, employment and insertion.

Info Jeune s -an association under the Ministry of Education., which provides guidance to general public (no age limit) for 7 pillars :job, accommodation, health, study and study abroad,  commitment,  rights and obligations,  building a learning pathway


Participants had some informal moments during two lunches that they did with two of the hosted structures. Then one dinner was organised on a boat by Eurocircle.  Participants were also advised one dinner to go the a social-insertion restaurant where the cook is a Chef and employs young people in a learning-professional integration path
